An electrical engineering A level kick started James’ passion for engineering. It made for an easy decision to then enter an apprenticeship in engineering. He chose Reaction Engines because he felt we stood out from other companies he’d applied to and saw our drive and technology really intriguing and exciting. He really wants to play his part.
In his current role as an electrical engineer apprentice in the DICE team, he helps complete complex electrical installation and design work. This includes producing diagrams and drawings for the layout of our installation and building electrical systems to be used by the control systems team during testing.
He loves getting to work on the current projects and being able to complete work that will be used in the progression of the company. It’s great seeing his efforts as an apprentice being valued and used within the ongoing projects. He’s already won an Apprentice of the Month Award and the Extra Mile Award from his training provider. And we know there’s much more to come from James in the future.
